Jane Sykes is a Professor of Small Animal Medicine at UC Davis with a special interest in canine and feline infectious diseases of public health importance. She has coauthored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications, is the editor of the Elsevier textbook “Canine and Feline Infectious Diseases”, and of the 5th edition of “Greene’s Infectious Diseases of the Dog and Cat”. Her research interests are focused on fungal diseases, leptospirosis, and antimicrobial resistance. She has held numerous leadership roles in the ACVIM, including President of the Specialty of Small Animal Internal Medicine and President and Chair of the Board of Regents.
