Simon is Professor and Head of Pathology at the Royal Veterinary College. He is certified in anatomic pathology by the ACVP and Royal College of Pathologists, with diagnostic and research interests in gastrointestinal pathology and, with a PhD in canine viral pathogenesis, canine and equine respiratory disease. He has co-authored numerous publications, including the development of a simplified histopathological scoring system for endoscopic biopsies. Simon is President of the British Society of Veterinary Pathology and outside of work is an avid ornithologist working to reach 3,000 species in 2019!
