The ACVIM-Endorsed Statement (AES) expert panel and methodologist will present the 2025 Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Enteropathy. The development of this statement followed a newly developed AES standard operating procedure and specific AES protocol, presented to the ACVIM community at the 2024 ACVIM Forum and posted for feedback immediately after the Forum. The establishment of the 2025 Guidelines involved an intensive review of the relevant veterinary literature or systematic review (evidence levels I-III) and consensus building using the Delphi method. The results will be presented, followed by an opportunity for immediate questions and feedback before being posted through the listservs.

Learning Objectives:

Familiarize with the available evidence and the resulting recommendations of the 2025 Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Enteropathy.
Understand the process and requirements of the new ACVIM-Endorsed Statement (AES) system
Familiarize with important methods used to develop the 2025 Guidelines, including intensive literature reviews, systematic reviews, consensus building utilizing the Delphi method, and risk of bias assessment
