Ruthanne is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an internship at Cornell, followed by a residency in Comparative Oncology at Purdue University. She is boarded in Medical Oncology and served as the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine from 2010-2021. She is currently a practicing oncologist and educator.
