Dr. Carrie Finno is a veterinary clinician scientist with a PhD in comparative pathology and post-doctorate training in comparative genomics. She has a strong commitment to biomedical research in the field of translational inherited neuromuscular disorders. Dr. Finno has published over 100 papers, including publications in Nature Communications and PLoS Genetics. In the field of veterinary medicine, she has defined the clinical phenotypes and identified the associated genetic mutations for five newly described diseases in horses.
