Scientist/Engineer, Sr Informatics Advisor, Research Instructor
Tufts Medical Center, Tufts CTSI, Tufts School of Medicine
I am presently a Tufts Clinical Translational Science Institute (CTSI) site PI collaborating with our Tufts veterinary school supporting One Health Research and veterinary research informatics. My work at Tufts Medical Center (TMC) include forming a standardize clinical research warehouse based on the Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) common data model, integration of medical device data and predictive analytics. Much of methods and approach have have been translated to form a veterinary OMOP research warehouse representing our Tufts veterinary electronic health records (EHR) since 2018. My work in integrating medical device data at TMC is now being translated to our veterinary work. The aim is to expand our capacity to apply machine learning and artificial intelligence and statistical methods in longitudinal and predictive research efforts using both EHR and medical device data. Prior to joining Tufts, I was a lead electrocardiographic (ECG) algorithm engineer at Hewlett-Packard's cardiology division for 11 years and have expertise in ECG signal processing and diagnostic criteria development.
