Management of hepatoxicosis can be frustrating, as there often few interventions available to directly support the liver. This lecture will review the mechanism of injury and decontamination methods for common hepatotoxins, with a special focus on cycads and joint supplements. Pharmaceutical interventions intented to support liver function until hepatic recovery and regeneration will also be reviewed.
