Range ewes and brush goats are managed extensively for most of the year. When a problem presents in the youngstock we will discuss opportunities for immediate disease control and then differentials for the primary cause of the problem. How might we identify ewes and does to ensure longevity within the maternal flock and survival of the youngstock to weaning.

Learning Objectives:

Identify common diseases and health challenges in small ruminants and learn preventive measures to mitigate their impact.
Identify the most common pathogens that infect the udder in sheep and goats.
Learn how veterinarians can collaborate with producers to implement effective disease control and treatment protocols.
