This session will provide information about the new Catalyst PL assay. The session will provide information about the analytical validation of the assay in dogs and cats and also put this new perspective to other assays for the measurement of lipase activity and pancreatic lipase immunoreactivity.

The participant should be able to understand the analytical validation parameters of the new catalyst PL assay.
The participant should be able to compare this new assay to other assays for the measurement of serum lipase activity and serum lipase immunoreactivity.
