Presentation Description / Summary: This presentation will discuss the general approach to canine urolithiasis with an emphasis on struvite and calcium oxalate stones. Cases will be utilized throughout the demonstrate various options for management of stones based on size and sex of the patient, number of stones, size of stone(s), and radiographic characteristics. Emphasis will be placed on the technician role in providing management options for canine uroliths.
Learner Outcomes: 1. Recognize typical stone characteristics based on radiographs. 2. Understand various stone removal techniques and when they may be appropriate for specific situations.
