Cassandra Guarino

Dr. Cassandra Guarino is the Director of the Bacteriology laboratory at the NYS Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (NYSVDL), where she previously served as Extension Associate for the Serology/Immunology laboratory. She received her PhD in Comparative Biomedical Sciences from Cornell University, where she also conducted postdoctoral research in Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Guarino collaborated on the development of the Canine Brucella Multiplex assay and oversees the Brucella canis reference assay testing offered through the NYSVDL at Cornell University.
