Dr. Lauren McGee is a sarcoma biologist with expertise in high-throughput drug screening and spatial transcriptomics in the Comparative Oncology Program (COP). She completed her PhD at the Van Andel Research Institute, where her work focused on identifying mechanisms of treatment resistance and signaling plasticity in malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors (MPNST) by studying intra-tumoral heterogeniety wtih spatial transcriptomic platforms. In the COP, her projects include using spatial transcriptomics to compare immune cell infiltration around different regions of pulmonary metastases in canine osteosarcoma.
