Texas Equine Medical Associates
Piper Norton, DVM, DACVIM-LA was raised in Louisiana and attended Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine prior to a private practice internship. She attended Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine for her Large Animal Internal Medicine residency, under the mentorship of Drs. Keith Chaffin and Tracy Norman. Following her residency, she resumed her position as an associate in private practice prior to starting her own practice.
As the owner of Texas Equine Medical Associates, she and her associates strive to provide specialist level care in a general practice ambulatory setting. She is also a founding member of the Cowgirl CE Retreats, allowing large animal practitioners fellowship and education in a retreat environment. She also was the 2023 President of the Texas Equine Veterinary Association. Her primary interests include equine neonatology, efficiency in private practice, and Equine Nasopharyngeal Cicatrix Syndrome.
