Veterinarian graduated from UFRGS (2004), with a residency in small animal medicine and surgery, and a master's degree in Physiology with an emphasis on endocrinology and metabolism. Ph.D. in Veterinary Sciences. Founding member, former vice president, and current scientific director of ABEV (Associação Brasileira de Endocrinologia Veterinária). Active member of the Society for Comparative Endocrinology and the European Society of Veterinary Endocrinology.
Currently, he is a faculty member in the Department of Animal Medicine and the Graduate Program in Veterinary Sciences at UFRGS, working in teaching, research, and extension at undergraduate, residency, and graduate levels (master's and doctoral programs). He is the coordinator of the Veterinary Endocrinology and Metabolism Service (SEMV/UFRGS) and the PetEndocrine Actions Program. He has authored numerous articles and book chapters, both nationally and internationally.
