With over 20 years of experience in veterinary endocrinology, Dr. Priscila Viau began her journey in 2001 when she received her first scientific grant from FAPESP under the Technical Training program. Since then, she has been dedicated to advancing analytical processes and applying hormonal tests for the diagnosis of endocrinopathies in dogs and cats.
She graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco, with a Master's and Ph.D. in Animal Reproduction from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science (FMVZ) at USP, Dr. Priscila co-founded the Brazilian Association of Veterinary Endocrinology (ABEV), where she served as Scientific Director from 2015 to 2018 and currently serves as the association's president.
She has extensive experience in veterinary endocrinology, with a primary focus on hormonal assays for steroids, thyroid hormones, and glucocorticoids, using methods such as radioimmunoassay, enzyme immunoassay, multi-analyte assays, and chemiluminescence.
