Victor Rivas studies translational cardiology and genetics in the Stern Translational Cardiac Genetics & Pharmacogenomics Laboratory at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He has completed a MS in integrative genetics and genomics (UC Davis) as well as his PhD in comparative biomedical sciences (NC State). Victor is part of the dual degree program at NC State University and is now working as both a post-doctoral scholar and studying as a veterinary student. In addition to his roles in translational cardiac research, Dr. Rivas serves as a veterinary student editor for the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Journal of Veterinary Research.
