Kiran Panickar, PhD, heads the Life Science Laboratory within Research & Innovation at the Science & Technology Center at Hill's PNC, Topeka, KS. Hill’s is a Colgate-Palmolive company. He is a Principal Investigator on several research studies. His areas of research interest include assessing immune regulation and inflammation in Cognition, Aging, Chronic kidney disease, Gastrointestinal disorders, Cardiovascular, and Dermatological disorders in companion animals. Technologies used in the lab include microbial DNA sequencing, RNA sequencing, Nanotring and PCR, Confocal microscopy, Luminex ELISA, histopathology, and cell culture (Organoid, Organ-on-a-chip, etc). He has 32 years of research experience working in academia, federal government, and industry. He has published more than 70 peer-reviewed publications, 100+ conference abstracts, 6 patents awarded, and more than 5 patents pending.
