Associate Professor at the University of Bologna since October 2024, Francesca carries out research and teaching activities in the field of equine internal medicine. She became an ECEIM diplomate in 2021, after an alternate residency program at the University of Helsinki. Her research interests focus particularly on diagnostic imaging (echocardiography, contrast echocardiography, and videocapillaroscopy) applied in the assessment of cardiovascular functionality and tissue perfusion in neonatal and adult horses. She is the head of the Equine Internal Medicine Unit and also contributes to the clinical activities of the Perinatology and Equine Reproduction Unit of the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences.
