Combined Veterinary Pathology Resident/PhD Student
The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center, Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences
Kate is a combined veterinary anatomic pathology resident/PhD student at The Ohio State University. She received her DVM from the University of Georgia where she discovered a love of disease pathogenesis and all things pathology. She joined Ohio State's combined program as it allows her to combine her interest in research and pathology. At OSU Kate joined Jessica Quimby's lab for her PhD work where she investigates clinical features and diagnostic biomarkers of feline immune complex glomerulonephritis. She hopes her research will further our understanding of ICGN and improve treatment and long term care of cats affected by the disease.
