Erik Johnson completed his veterinary degree at Western University of Health Sciences, followed by a rotating internship at Colorado State University and a residency in neurology and neurosurgery at Auburn University. Since completing his residency in 2019, Dr. Johnson has worked in several specialty hospitals throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. To improve access to care for pets with neurological disease, he is currently establishing Neuro Vet—Northern California’s first 24/7, neurology-exclusive veterinary hospital—scheduled to open in the fall of this year.
