Geoff graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 1994. After 11 years in general practice, he joined the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh, and is Professor in Small Animal Cardiology and Head of the Small Animal Cardiology Service. He is an RCVS Diplomate and Specialist in Veterinary Cardiology and an RCVS Fellow.
In 2018, Geoff completed a PhD on endothelin-1 and renal salt handling at the Queen’s Medical Research Institute, where his post doctoral research focused on renal sodium transport in Type 1 diabetes. Geoff is a clinical research associate of the Roslin Institute, investigating the effects of MMVD, aging and metabolic diseases on renal and cardiovascular function in dogs and cats.
