Dr. Jake Ryave is a veterinary fellow with the Dog Aging Project (DAP) at Texas A&M University. They graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2022, and completed a small animal rotating internship and small animal specialty cardiology internship at Michigan State University in 2023 and 2024 before joining the DAP. Dr. Ryave’s primary interest is small animal cardiology, and they plan to pursue a residency following their position with the DAP. Dr Ryave's current research focuses on markers of aging and frailty in companion dogs and owner experiences following loss of a pet, and their current clinical practice largely supports the Test of Rapamycin in Aging Dogs.
