Connie A. Rojas, PhD, is a Senior Scientist at AnimalBiome, where she investigates the gut and oral microbiomes of dogs and cats to advance microbiome-based diagnostics and therapeutics. Her research focuses on the healthy core microbiome, microbiome temporal variability, microbial shifts in cats with periodontal or metabolic disease, and the functional roles of bacteria. Dr. Rojas earned her PhD at Michigan State University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UC Davis.
