Rachel began her technician career in 2010 in the internal medicine department at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, DC. She helped establish and grow the Nephrology and Hemodialysis service for over 8 years. In 2018, she took her career one step further and achieved her VTS in small animal internal medicine and joined The Academy of Internal Medicine for Veterinary Technicians. During the pandemic, she pivoted to the ICU and enjoys the adrenaline rush of the ER/ICU setting. Rachel's VTS in emergency and critical care application was accepted this past March, and she will be sitting for the ECC board exam this September.
