Brent Lawson is a Tennessee native who completed his DVM training through the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, he briefly worked as a general practitioner. He then resumed his training with a rotating internship at UT, followed by two years of specialty internship in cardiology at the Veterinary Cardiopulmonary Care Center in Florida. He is now currently finishing his second year of cardiology residency with CVCA - Cardiac Care for Pets.
