Ashleigh Flores is a DVM/PhD student in the Veterinary Scientist Training Program at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. She is a fourth-year PhD candidate in the Integrative Pathobiology Graduate Group. She received bachelor's and master's degrees from UC Davis, in animal science and molecular, cellular, and integrative physiology, respectively. Ashleigh is a member of Dr. Bart Weimer's, PhD, group in the Department of Population, Health, and Reproduction at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, and is co-mentored by Dr. Jodi Westropp, DVM, PhD, DACVIM. Her research interests primarily focus on lithiasis in veterinary medicine, with a specific emphasis on equine enterolithiasis and canine/feline urolithiasis. Her current interest and predoctoral research examines the role of the microbiome in canine and feline struvite urolithiasis and the oral/stone axis.
