Luiza is a veterinarian board-certified in large animal internal medicine and an Assistant Professor at the University of Guelph, where she is also pursuing a PhD in epidemiology. Her research focuses on neonatal calf diarrhea, the care of systemically ill calves, and the development of a treatment algorithm to reduce unnecessary antimicrobial use.
