Dr. Mason is a professor of medicine at the University of Pennsylvania's School fo Veterinary Medicine. She is board certified in internal medicine and has a PhD and post-doctoral fellowship in immunology and immunotherapy respectively. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and holds the James and Gilmore Endowed Professorship at UPenn. She co-founded Vetigenics, a small biotech company in 2017 which focuses on the generation of monoclonal antibodies for veterinary patients affected by cancer, autoimmunity, allergies and inflammation. She leads the NCI Cancer Moonshot's pre-medical cancer immunotherapy network for canine trials (PRECINCT) and her lab focuses on developing safe and effective next generation immunotherapies for dogs with cancer and autoimmunity.
