Dr. Viju Pillai is an Assistant Professor of Anatomic Pathology at Purdue University. He earned a veterinary medicine degree in India, followed by a PhD in reproductive biology and endocrinology from Cornell University, and is board-certified in Anatomic Pathology by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists. As a diagnostic pathologist, he has a special interest in endocrine pathology, particularly in the diagnosis of neuroendocrine neoplasms. His research focuses on endocrine and reproductive stem cell biology, with an emphasis on early embryonic and placental development, stem cells, and 3D organoid models.
