Dr. Shelly Vaden is a Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine at the North Carolina State University. She graduated from the University of Georgia CVM and completed an internship at Cornell University and residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine and graduate school at North Carolina State University. She is a Diplomate of the ACVIM and a founder of the ACVNU. The focus of Dr. Vaden’s scholarly and clinical activities has primarily been diseases of the kidney and lower urinary tract of dogs and cats, and she has extensively published in this area. Dr. Vaden is President-Elect for the International Renal Interest Society Management Board and president of the American College of Veterinary Nephrology and Urology.
