Dr. Marsilio earned her veterinary degree from the University of Veterinary Medicine Hanover, Germany, in 2004, followed by a doctorate on feline chronic enteropathies in 2007. She completed an internship in private practice and a Small Animal Internal Medicine residency at the University of Giessen, Germany, and the Royal Veterinary College, UK. In 2014, she became board-certified by the ACVIM (SAIM) and ECVIM (CA). She then pursued a PhD at Texas A&M’s Gastrointestinal Laboratory, focusing on novel diagnostic biomarkers for feline chronic enteropathies. Since August 2019, Dr. Marsilio has been an Assistant Professor at UC Davis, specializing in small animal and comparative gastroenterology in both clinical practice and research.
