Dr. Kennedy grew up on a small cow-calf operation in SE Kansas. She completed her DVM from Kansas State in 2017, Food Animal Medicine and Surgery Internship at Kansas State in 2018, and ACVIM residency in LAIM in 2021 from Auburn University. Began a PhD in 2019 at Auburn University, funded the the USDA-ARS/NBAF workforce development project with hopes of defending in 2025. Research focus has been in Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus in heterologous species and cattle. Became faculty at Oklahoma State University in 2024 as an Associate Professor and continuing BVDV research.
