After qualifying as a veterinarian, Dr Pazzi spent four years in private practice in South Africa and the United Kingdom before returning to the University of Pretoria to complete his Internal Medicine Residency to become a European Diplomate of Internal Medicine. He subsequently undertook and completed his PhD on the prevalence of microthrombi and hemostatic dysfunction in canine carcinoma and sarcoma in 2023. He joined the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. Dr. Pazzi’s multiple publications in hemostasis reflect his research interest - the interrelationship between cancer, hemostasis, inflammation, the endothelium, and metastasis.
