Senior Veterinary Surgeon
Chipping Norton Veterinary Hospital
Chipping Norton, England, United Kingdom
After a PhD studying the sounds produced by the ears of vertebrates from frogs to humans, Martin worked in US medical-school tertiary-care ENT Departments doing basic and clinical research on the biomechanics of hearing, before returning to the UK and switching to veterinary medicine. After years of very-mixed rural practice - farm, equine, small-animal, exotic and zoo - he now works in a 15-vet small-animal Hospital in Oxfordshire, UK, where he runs one of the UK's largest radioiodine units for hyperthyroid cats, and does zoo and exotic-pet practice. Martin is an RCVS-recognised Advanced Practitioner in small-animal internal medicine, and International Director of the Evidence-Based Veterinary Medicine Association.
