Katarzyna Dembek, DVM, PhD, DACVIM (she/her/hers)

Dr. Katarzyna Dembek earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Warsaw University in Poland in 2005. She then completed a one-year equine internship in Ireland. In 2012, Dr. Dembek finished a combined residency in Equine Internal Medicine and a Master of Science program at The Ohio State University. That same year, she began her PhD training at OSU. In 2016, Dr. Dembek relocated to Iowa, where she served as an Assistant Professor in Equine Medicine at Iowa State University until she joined the equine medicine team at North Carolina State University in 2020.
