Burns is a licensed veterinary technician with a MS in physiology & an MEd in counseling psychology in addition to a VTS (Nutrition); VTS Hon (Internal Medicine, Dentistry).Founder & past president of the Academy of Veterinary Nutrition Technicians. Educates healthcare teams on nutrition around the globe. She has authored numerous articles, textbook chapters, and is an invited international speaker. 2024 Bridge Club ICON award winner - 1st Technician to be awarded the ICON award. 1st Technician President of the Pet Nutrition Alliance.
