Andrea Fischer, DACVIM (Neurology) DECVN (she/her/hers)

Andrea is head of neurology at LMU University of Munich, Germany, Diplomate ACVIM (neurology). Diplomate ECVN, Dr. med. vet., and Dr. habil. Andrea worked in academia in Germany ever since she completed her residency at the University of Georgia, trained many doctorate students and residents, and authored over 100 scientific publications. She considers her most outstanding achievement the discovery of juvenile myoclonic epilepsy in Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs with parallels to childhood and juvenile epilepsies. Her current focus is on epilepsy, dyskinesia, neuromuscular disorders, and hearing disorders. Andrea is a dedicated vet, team player, researcher, and teacher. With this talk, Andrea will provide insights into novel approaches to hearing testing in veterinary practice and otoneurologic diseases.
