Dr. Vientós-Plotts received her DVM from Tuskegee University, and completed a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery rotating internship at Auburn University. She became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine after a Small Animal Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Missouri. Following residency completed a research fellowship and a PhD in Veterinary Pathobiology with emphasis on the respiratory microbiota of dogs. She is currently an Assistant Professor of SAIM, co-founder and co-director of the BREATHE Clinic, a specialty clinic focusing on the link between GI and Respiratory tract, at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine.
