Presentation Description / Summary: This lecture will focus on nursing care and considerations for the down equine. The lecture will focus on receiving the down horse, team safety with a recumbent patient, various types of supportive equipment and special nursing considerations.

Upon completion, participants will be able to understand safe practices when working with a down equine.
Upon completion, participants will be able to understand multiple types of lifting and support devices used with equine patients.
