This session will address the current state of antifungal therapy in small animal medicine. Azoles are the centerpiece for treatment of deep mycoses and their use will be discussed including incorporation of second generation triazoles and therapeutic drug monitoring into therapy. We will also look to the future and discuss the potential use of echinocandins, novel antifungal drugs, and fungal vaccines in dogs and cats.
