From colleagues to clients, neurodivergent individuals are part of our veterinary medical network. This session will provide a current overview of neurodivergence and offer strategies for supporting neurodivergent individuals as they navigate neurotypical veterinary settings.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define neurodiversity, neurotypical, and neurodivergent and develop a general understanding of common neurodivergent conditions.
  • Recognize unique challenges neurodivergent individuals may experience as well as unique strengths they may possess.
  • Understand obstacles and triggers neurodivergent individuals are likely to encounter in various veterinary settings and how to mitigate them.
